How we’d move according to one another, to what the other knew they yearned to say. “All That I Got Is You” is the first Ghostface Killah song I ever heard. It was in middle school. Last week, I introduced it to my 8th graders in a lesson on the Biographical Approach to Literary Analysis (8th Grade CA Academic Standard 3.7, if you’re interested). Teaching is the best.
The other day, frustrated by the constant barrage of useless emails I get throughout the day, I made a conscious effort to unsubscribe from every single message list I considered expendable. These messages would come, and I’d click “Mark As Read” and archive them immediately, oftentimes not even reading the entire subject line.
This morning while driving to work, I thought, “Man, my inbox is so barren; I kind of miss the junk email.”
